The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, September 5th for Labor Day.
The Claremont Senior Center is opened every Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 3 pm and another game afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 3 pm. We are also open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9 pm. We have many activities. Miracle Ear, Blood Drive and VNA Foot Clinic will continue as scheduled.
NOTICE – NEW PHONE NUMBER TO RESERVE LUNCH 603-678-0433 We have two options for our meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays – drive thru PLUS indoor seating. Tuesday, August 30th – Hot Dog OR Hamburger, potato salad, veggie, dessert. Thursday, September 1st – Fried fish and french fries, dessert. Must call 603-678-0433 by 10:30 to reserve either drive thru or inside dining. Price is $4 for members and $5 for nonmembers. Meals are always subject to change. Indoor dining serving will begin at 11:45 am and drive thru pickup will begin at noon until 12:30 pm. Meals are always subject to change.
Blood Drive – Thank you everyone who was able to donate blood at the center on August 22th, donating in Honor of Jaidyn Harlow. She is facing her battle with leukemia for the third time since diagnosed in 2019. 99 pints of blood was donated at the center for Kaidyn. We will hold another blood drive on Monday, September 12th. You must make an appointment at 800-RED-CROSS. Thank you for all of you who can donate and do donate. Every donation is appreciated.
Bingo – WE WILL BE HOLDING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON BINGO ON August 31st. Wednesday afternoon Bingo is a popular activity for our seniors. We average around 25 seniors who love to attend, visit with their friends and try to win a little extra money. If you would like Bingo to continue we need more volunteers, please contact us. You need not be a member to play Bingo OR help running it but you must be at least 55 years old.
On September 13th from 1pm to 3pm, Patricia Jacobs will instruct another vase painting class. She came a few months ago and everyone was surprised how great their finished vases looked. NO cost to you for the paints or vases, just a lot of fun. Must sign up at the desk.
Men’s Breakfast – Our next men’s breakfast will be on September 19th. Doors open at 8 am and serving starts at 8:15. Open to the public. MEN ONLY. Members $2.00 and non-members $3.00.
Mark your calendars. On September 20th from 7pm to 9pm, Bill Kellum will hold a presentation on bears at the center.
Sunday, August 28th, come on down for our annual Car Show. There will be many cars for you to look over, raffle prizes awarded, 50/50 to buy a chance on and good eats to enjoy. Plus all that, it looks to be a good day, weather wise.
Mark your calendars for our first Hand and Foot card tournament on October 22nd.
August 30th, Tuesday, 1:00 pm – Do you know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid? If not, you will want to attend this presentation that will explain the differences and how to see if you are eligible for Medicaid. Open to the public. Call the center if more information is needed.
Membership meeting will be on September 6 at 1 pm. ALL members are urged to attend. Find out what is happening at “your senior center”.

Thursday, August 11th – BBQ chicken legs, tater tots, corn on cob, dessert. Must call 603-678-0433 by10:30 to reserve either drive thru or inside dining. Price is $4 for members and $5 for nonmembers. Meals are always subject to change. Indoor dining serving will begin at 11:45 am and drive thru pickup will begin at noon until 12:30 pm. Meals are always subject to change. Indoor diners will not be served at the table. Diners will have to collect their meal at the serving window and return used dishes at the dishwashing window. Beverages will not be included, at this time. Water and soda will be available for purchase or you may bring your own beverage.
