The Claremont Senior Center publishes a weekly news column in the Eagle Times Newspaper and Cornish Connect website.The weekly news includes updates on the following information.
Claremont Senior Center is open every Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. We are also open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm. We have many (pool, card games, cribbage, puzzles, mahjong, knitting and quilting to name a few) activities. Miracle Ear, Blood Drive and VNA Foot Clinic are also scheduled.

Reservations ARE also required for indoor seating AND take out. The menu is published in the column for that week. Meals are always subject to change.Sit in meals begins at 11:45 am and drive thru pick up at 12 pm.
Foot Clinics will be held on the first Thursday and next three Wednesdays. Sponsored by Lake Sunapee Region VNA and Hospice with a charge of $30. You MUST call 603-748-1731 to make an appointment with them.
WE hold BINGO every Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday afternoon Bingo is a popular activity for our seniors (must be at least 55 years old). You MUST purchase your cards BY 12:45 and the games begin at 1:00 pm. Concession is opened, just until Bingo starts, to purchase your lunch. We average around 30 – 40 seniors who love to attend, visit with their friends and try to win a little extra money.
Blood Drive – American Red Cross schedules monthly drives one Monday each month from 12-5 pm Please call 1-800-Red-Cross (1-800-733-2767) to schedule appointment. Blood donors are desperately needed.
Women’s Pool – Do you want to be part of the game of pool? Ladies play every Monday from 9-12. Come be a part of this fun activity with like-minded women.
Men’s Pool – Come have some fun and spirited games of pool every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-12. All men are welcome.
Quilting Bee– Come tell your story with the quilting skills you want to share with other quilters. You don’t have to be a quilter to attend bring your own project. Call the center to find the next Quilting session.
Line Dancing – Bring your dancing feet every Monday, 7 PM until 9 PM. Beginners line dance begins from 7-8:30 and then Intermediate dancing from 8:30-9PM. The cost is $3.00 for members (bring your card) and $5.00 for non- members. One price will give you both beginners and Intermediate sessions. Bring your own beverage and a snack if you need one.
TAI CHI class is on Wednesday, 9:15-10:15 AM. Each six- week session is to help you improve alignment, balance, looseness and awareness through soft practice and relaxation. Members is $40.00 per month, Non-members is $50.00 per month or weekly walk ins are $15 per session. For details, come in to sign up or call 603-543-5998.
Chair Yoga Returns – Starting this fall on Monday morniongs 9:30-10:30 AM. Members are free, non- members $5 per class. Call or come in to sign up 603-543-5998.
****NEW*** Claremont Senior Center Fundraiser Bingo on Friday nights. Doors open at 5 pm, games start at 6:30 pm. Ten regular games, 2-2 part games, 3 specials, and winner take all. Open to the public, must be 18 years of age to play. Concessions are available through intermission. Bring family and friends for an evening of fun. Call Cheryl at 603-543-5998 if you have questions.
New members are always welcome to come enjoy our facility. You can sign up for a “one- month trial membership”. That way you can enjoy our programs and activities before you join us.
